No. As a fan or listener, you do not need a Love Button account. You simply click the link, authorize with Spotify in one tap, and the music lands straight into your library.

5. Do I need a Spotify account to use a Love Button?

Yes. Anyone clicking your primary “Follow All On Spotify” button must have an active Spotify account (Free or Premium). If they are not already logged in on their device browser, Spotify will prompt them to authenticate. (Fans who use other streaming platforms can still listen to your releases via your integrated DSP links).

6. Can I create or manage a Love Button for free?

Yes! You can create and publish a permanent Love Button for free.

• Free Plan limits: You can select 1 artist, up to 3 albums, up to 3 tracks, and 1 playlist. Links to other streaming platforms (Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, etc.) are included at no cost.
• Edits & Cooldown: On the Free plan, you can edit your Love Button freely during the first 24 hours after creating it. After that, you can update it once every 30 days. Upgrading to a Pro plan or Annual Pass unlocks instant edits anytime, with no waiting period.

7. Can I customize my Love Button?

Yes! While the Free plan features an automatic, clean layout with dynamic background colors extracted from your Spotify artwork, upgrading to Pro or Curator unlocks complete visual and editorial control:

• Custom dual-color gradient backgrounds.
• Full-width header banner layout (instead of the standard circular portrait).
• Freedom to select your main display image from your latest album, track, or playlist artwork.
• Custom editorial message / intro text.
• Option to hide the “Show Links” toggle.
• Social media profile icons (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook).

8. Do I need a monthly subscription to customize or edit my button?

It depends on your plan:

• On the Free and Pro plans, a Love Button is dedicated to one single primary artist profile.
• On the Curator plan, all artist constraints are lifted: you can mix and match singles, albums, and playlists from multiple different artists in the same link. Curators can also choose to make artist profiles optional to keep the spotlight strictly on their curation brand or record label.

10. Is there a limit to how much music I can include?

Limits depend on your membership tier:

• Free Plan: 1 Artist, up to 3 Albums, up to 3 Tracks, and 1 Playlist.
• Pro Plan / Annual Pass: 1 Artist, up to 20 Albums & up to 150 Tracks, and up to 5 Playlists.

11. Will my fans see any custom branding when they click the Love Button?

Yes. On your public Love Button page, Pro and Curator members enjoy a custom look (colors, banners, and typography). Pro plans also remove the “Powered by Love Button” footer badge. When a fan clicks to follow, the brief authentication popup they see is managed directly by Spotify’s official OAuth protocol to guarantee account security.

18. Does it work after my song is already released?

Yes, that’s exactly what it’s built for. Any artist profile, single, album, or playlist that is live on Spotify can be added to your Love Button. When you release something new, you can update your button to feature it (instantly on Pro; see plan details for how editing works on the Free plan).

19. What exactly does a fan authorize on Spotify?

When a fan taps “Follow All On Spotify”, Spotify opens its own official permission screen. Love Button only requests the strict minimum access required to perform what the button promises:

• Follow artists and playlists: Allows fans to follow your artist profile and add your selected playlists to their library in one click. (Note: Spotify groups playlist-following under general playlist permissions, but Love Button never creates, edits, or deletes any of the fan’s personal playlists.)
• Save to their library: Allows fans to save your tracks and albums directly into their “Liked Songs” and “Your Library” sections.

Love Button never accesses personal listening history, never reads private data, and never sees Spotify passwords. Furthermore, authorization tokens are processed in real time and are never stored on our servers. Fans can disconnect Love Button at any time directly in their Spotify account settings under Apps.

20. Can fans unfollow or remove what they saved?

Yes, absolutely. Everything saved through Love Button behaves like a normal Spotify action. Fans can unfollow an artist profile, remove a saved album or track, or unfollow a playlist directly inside their Spotify app at any time, exactly as if they had done it manually.

Fans can also revoke Love Button’s access from their Spotify account management page whenever they wish. Revoking access stops any future actions, but leaves previously saved music untouched in their personal collection.
